The world - Where I've been before this trip
I didn't decide out of the blue to leave everything behind and venture in the world for the first time with this trip. I already been travelling a bit, having set foot in about a dozen countries in 3 continents.
I've travelled mostly in North-America... especially the coasts of the United States. I've been to New York City numerous times, Boston, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas and San Francisco. In Canada, I've been to Ottawa and Toronto a few times and a few days in Niagara Falls. I've also been briefly to Moncton and Charlottetown. It's true that when we travel we often venture far away from home... even when we're in a country as large as Canada.
In 2007, I ventured out of North-America for a first time... to go to Australia. I enjoyed my time there, even if the flights were too long to my taste and I had a feeling of losing time while I was in the air. I've visited Sydney, Cairns and Ayer's Rock while being Down Under. I also made a side-trip to New Caledonia, exploring this tropical French territory.
In 2011, I spent 3 weeks in Europe, doing sprint tour of Paris, Luxembourg City, London, Brussels, Brugge, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague and Munich. I really enjoyed exploring the "Old Continent", discovering new sites and different cultures. For the first time, I was in situations where I didn't speak the local languages... and it was very stimulating.
A few months later, when the excitement of the Europe trip was gone, I began day dreaming more than ever about travels. I then made a choice to center my life around travels.
